The idea to establish Sered Dixieland Band, to continue in the way of very popular Alli Jazz Band came from Viliam Kubáni. He invited members of TR-band to a performance in Sereď, which attracted not only musicians but also citizens of the town. Since the first performance there have been many others and this was how the traditional jazz was refreshed in Sereď. There have been three musicians courtesy of whom this could happen. It was Jozef Holub, Jozef Polák and Viktor Kratochvíľa. Later on, Viliam Ondruška and Marian Bihari were told about this project. The biggest problem was the post-drummer. Rudolf Krivošík became the first one who joined the band. After he had gone abroad, the second was Imino Kaduc who spent ten years in the USA and performed with the band until the end of July 2005. Then, Karol Sucháň became the new member. He finished studies at conservatory and has played with front jazzmen home and abroad. At last, he had been a member of TR-band. It is necessary to mention Radovan Palkovič, the banjo player who has performed with the band. And there was also one person, whom the band could not exist without. This was Jaroslav “Country” Červenka (clarinet, saxophone).
